#199; 不愿改的习惯

Posted By VANESSA TEE on Feb 10, 2010 at 1:32AM

#198; TRYING HARD.

Posted By VANESSA TEE on Feb 4, 2010 at 3:32PM

It’s been a week since I last blogged, not that I didn’t logged in or wasn’t online. Just don’t want my posts to be all emo and have everybody come asking me if I’m fine. I just don’t need that extra attention.

I’m trying my very best to be how I used to be. The past one week, I’ve got great company every single day without fail. The encouragement, advices, listening ears and company are appreciated(: Thanks a lot people!

Caught one movie over the week which I chose. Thankfully it was a good one.

P/S: TWENTY!

#197; Willing to forgive.

Posted By VANESSA TEE on Jan 28, 2010 at 5:32AM

Just came back from Sabai. Before things happened, the hug was so warm, so real and yes I know. I’m not going to tell anybody much or rant out here. I guess I’m going to go MIA for quite some time. Till I find this space worth a reason and I’ll be back with more entries.

Well, Im willing to forgive you but I cant forget
Cause you really, really, really, really hurt me this time

#196; sunday morning indulgence.

Posted By VANESSA TEE on Jan 18, 2010 at 12:14AM

Having dim sum every Sunday morning is like a tradition in my family together with my grandmother. Even with her passing on, we still continue this tradition. To my family, it’s a form of communication channel/ catching up and updating one another of what’s going on in our lives. Usually we start off with the youngest of the family and it continues.

With everyone getting busier with their separate lives, the usual Sunday morning became less frequent and now it’s only when we pray respect to my grandparents. If not when one person is going overseas for work/study trip and definitely on Chinese New Year.

Yesterday we gathered as my aunt is going for work trip and would be there most of the time. Thank god I was not working if not i’m gonna get screwed big time.

This time round dim sum is at Carlton Hotel Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant. I think you have to make reservations.

The egg tarts were the first on the table. It’s different from outside, you just have to taste it and you will know what I’m talking about.

Prawn Chee Cheong Fun

Century Egg Porridge

Glutinous rice in Lotus Leaf & Steamed Carrot Cake

Siew Mai

Har Gow

My favourite out of all is the Shark’s Fin Dumpling soup.

I'm craving for dim sum again!

#195; The oh-so-mundane weekends.

Posted By VANESSA TEE on Jan 13, 2010 at 12:01PM

Well, ever since I worked my old line again, my weekends are all taken up by work, work and still WORK. Many have asked if I am tired being so busy and occupied with school, work, friends, driving, meeting ups and etc. To be honest I am getting more and more tired and barely have enough sleep. The thought of quitting my job (since the pay is always delayed) crossed my mind. But thinking again, I am graduating soon. Perhaps I could rest during this upcoming vacation then start looking for a better paying job (the one I have in mind) and meanwhile consider if I wanna further study.

Last weekend, I decided to put aside clubs and drinking for something better and healthier. It was a meet up with E for movie!(: Before that while I was working, xf text me and told me he was going dblO that night for S’s pre birthday celebration. Was rather tempted! Told myself if another person text me jio-ing to club, I would definitely head down.

An apology to E over here! I’m so sorry for making you walk to Cine then to The cathay and back to Cine. I was working so E offered to get the tickets first. He arrived at Cine and called me upon checking the time slots. I preferred the grand cathay’s timing and we always watch over there. So he walked over to check the time slots and halfway through his queue, the tickets were sold out and the next timing was at 0140. I was like wtf and I’ve got work the next day. I need my sleep and was already feeling sleepy throughout work that day. I told him we shall watch at Cine instead, so he walked back for the tickets.

Met up with him straight after work at 313. Since our movie is at 2340, we went to check out every shop they have in 313. After which, walked to have our tau huey and end up being late for the movie.

We watched a Chinese movie “Hear me”.
